T-slot nuts are used with workpieces on machine tool tables. The T-slot nut slides within a T-slot track while the workpiece is attached with a threaded clamp. They are also used on extruded framing when building structures and machines. May 05, 2008  IIRC you only take the half of the port height for slot ports. If you are using pvc piping, it's not really a slot port. Just remember to keep it atleast a port radius.

How To Measure Slot Width

Step 1. Remove interior face plate (or flap) of existing mail slot from your door or wall

Step 2. Measure the width and height of the 'actual hole cutthrough your door or wall' & write measurements down

Step 3. Repeat measuring process to make sure your measurements are accurate

Step 4. You now have your 'Cut Out Size' measurements

Step 5. Proceed to our 'Products' page to select the appropriate mail slot for your needs

Step 6. Compare your measurements to the 'Cut Out Size' measurements of one of our products

Step 7. For optimal installation your measurements should be smaller than our product's 'Overall Frame Size'

NB. If one or both of your height or width measurements of the 'actual hole cutthrough your door or wall' are larger than the measurements of our 'Overall Frame Size',click herefor information onadvanced installations
